At Magik New Media, we recognize a bad website when we see one. There’s nothing worse than a business that you like that has a crummy website. A website that is hard to navigate is almost useless. It’s all too easy to simply click a button and get the heck out of there. Our usability consultants have a laser-like focus on making your website navigable above all else.

People that visit your website shouldn’t have to wonder about how they should go about doing what they need to do. One way or another, everything should be made plain to them. Web usability is all about ease of access. After all, if your website can’t provide what the user needs in a timely fashion, there are dozens—if not hundreds or thousands—of other websites that can.  So at Magik New Media our goal when it comes to user interface design is to get visitors to your website to sit and stay a while.

Usability is one of those things that are integral in a first impression of any website. Users need to be able to quickly ascertain what they need to do to navigate the site and then quickly find the particular bit of information that brought them to the site in the first place. So how do we do this? It’s a very thorough process that we go through, one that we have perfected over the years. We’ve designed dozens of websites using our tried and true methods and have come up with a list of options to choose from. We go over with our ideas for your site to come up with the most usable site for your business. We know what works because we’ve worked with hundreds web design professionals to build websites that have web usability at their core.

On top of our role as usability consultants, we are also users ourselves, right? Those of us involved in we design are simply fans of Internet technology. Before we ever got into the business of building websites, we were users – and we still are. This kind of common sense approach to user interface design has worked wonders for us in the past and we always bring it to the table for every project we are involved in. We like to take the approach of getting into the minds of the everyday Internet user. What is he or she looking for? Can they find it easier somewhere else? We know that your website has to suck these people in right out of the gate and keep them there, so we take all things into consideration. User-centred design is about knowing your clientele and combing that with your vision to make the perfect website.
